Chapter 90 - The London Summons

The air in London was cold and thick with fog. The Royal Courts of Justice on the Strand towered like an ancient stone fortress, surrounded by hundreds of flashing camera lights and shouting reporters.

I walked up the grand stone steps wearing a tailored midnight-blue coat, holding Ethan's arm firmly. Across the plaza, standing flanked by four armed bodyguards, was Charlotte Sterling-Vance. She wore an ivory coat, looking every bit the pristine aristocrat, her green eyes flashing with triumphant arrogance as she watched us approach.

"Welcome to London, Chairwoman," Charlotte purred, her voice carrying across the quiet terrace as the press clicked away. "Or should I say, former Chairwoman?"

"Save the performance for the judge, Charlotte," I replied coldly, not missing a beat as I stood face-to-face with her. "You let Julian put you on a leash ten years ago. Coming after my children is the last mistake you will ever make."

In the high-arched courtroom, Julian Sterling sat at the primary plaintiff table, a cruel, mocking smile playing on his lips. His high-powered legal team immediately presented a surprise emergency injunction, requesting the court to issue an immediate custody order transferring Noah and Sophie to a state-appointed guardian in England pending the marriage contest.

Ethan slammed his hand onto the defense table, his voice booming through the hallowed hall: "Over my dead body!"

"Quiet in the court!" the judge barked, leaning forward over his bench. "Mr. Vance, given the active status of the 2014 marriage registry presented by Lady Charlotte, this court is freezing all North American and European assets tied to Sterling-Vance Enterprises until the biological trust audit is complete."

Julian turned his head slightly toward us, mouthing three words with a chilling smirk: I own you.
