Chapter 23 - The Bloodline Restored

I fell to my knees on the library rug, holding the paper against my chest, crying so hard my entire body shook.

"Ethan..." I gasped out, looking up through a blur of joyous tears. "He lied. Julian lied about everything! Noah is your biological son!"

Ethan dropped his weapon onto the rug. He looked down at the document in my hands, then slowly turned his gaze to Noah. The terrifying, cold rage in Ethan’s eyes completely dissolved, replaced by a raw, overwhelming flood of relief and love.

Noah stood up slowly, looking at the paper, then looking at Ethan.

"Dad..." Noah whispered, the word carrying a weight that shattered ten years of pain and doubt.

Ethan didn't say a word. He stepped forward, pulled Noah into his arms, and held him so tight the boy's feet barely touched the ground. Ethan buried his face in Noah's shoulder, weeping openly, his chest heaving with silent, ragged sobs.

"I'm sorry, son..." Ethan choked out, kissing Noah's hair over and over again. "I'm so sorry I ever let you doubt it... You're my boy... You've always been my boy..."

"I know, Dad," Noah sobbed, wrapping his arms tightly around Ethan’s neck. "I know."

On the floor near the fireplace, Julian Vance groaned in agony as Marcus and federal agents swarmed the room, pinning both Julian and Victoria to the floor in heavy steel handcuffs.
