Thomas didn't say a word; he opened his familiar leather briefcase and pulled out a stack of documents. They weren't criminal evidence, but incredibly sophisticated debt and asset purchase agreements.
"While you were busy attacking our system, I bought up all the bad debt from your company," Caroline announced coldly. "And I am demanding immediate repayment in full."
Marcus's eyes widened in sheer horror. He understood that, with the massive amount of money he had poured into the cyberattack and paying off her sister's debts, his corporation was completely insolvent. He was left with nothing.
"You can't do this! This is illegal!" he screamed in desperation.
"Illegal?" Caroline smirked. "Thomas will ensure all your bankruptcy proceedings happen as legally and swiftly as possible. You won't have a single penny to your name, and the other creditors will tear you apart."
Destruction didn't come from violence, but from absolute economic power. Marcus dropped his head to the floor, his pathetic sobs echoing. A billionaire's empire was wiped out in just a single night.
