Chapter 37 - silas's end

After the bloody attack, Caroline allowed no further mercy. Silas had dug his own grave when he dared to use armed violence in the center of the city to attack her family.
Using their massive intelligence network, Thomas quickly pinpointed Silas's final hideout. It was an abandoned warehouse near the deserted docks, where he was preparing a helicopter to escape.
Caroline did not call the police. She personally led the most elite special task force into the warehouse. Under the sickly yellow lights, Silas trembled and backed away when he saw the powerful woman walk in with eyes as cold as ice.
"What are you going to do? Kill me?" Silas smirked, trying to hide his ultimate terror. "The law won't let you off the hook, Caroline." He backed away, his hand tightly gripping the handgun hidden behind his back.
"I do not kill scum," Caroline replied calmly. "I merely hand terrorists over to justice." She pressed a small audio recorder, playing back the entire recording of Silas ordering the attack and ruthless murders.
