Chapter 10 - The Happy Ending

The night sky was a deep, velvet indigo, dotted with thousands of brilliant, glittering stars. The snow glistened like diamond dust across the yard.
I took a deep breath of the crisp, clean winter air, tasting the sweetness of freedom, safety, and self-love.
